 | | ECM Records - Simply the most influential label as far as | | | modern jazz is concerned. With a huge list of artists that have released albums through Manfred Eicher’s label, it’s really hard to come up with any highlight;

 | | Favored Nations Records - This is Steve Vai’s own record | | | label that now has sign up a bunch of jazz-rock and fusion artists such as Allan Holdsworth, Chad Wackerman, Frank Gambale, Gregg Bissonette, Stuart Hamm or Mike Keneally;

 | | Heptagon Records - Swedish label that has released fusion | | | and rock albums for Scandinavian artists, chiefly the Johansson brothers;

 | | LoLo Records - This label was mainly established to release | | | Gongzilla material. Over time it became home for all Gongzilla alumni, Bon Lozaga, Hansford Rowe and Vic Stevens releasing albums at this record house;

 | | MoonJune Records - small label that released Soft Machine’ | | | s reincarnation through Soft Works and also other material from Elton Dean, Tripod and Italian bands DFA and Finisterre;

 | | Shrapnel Records - This is actually a group that bundles | | | three labels: Shrapnel Records (releasing guitar instrumental and hard rock albums), Tone Center Records (oriented on jazz and fusion) and Blues Bureau Records (that puts out blues rock albums). Tone Center Records is one of the most important labels for modern jazz-rock and fusion in the ‘90s and on. Artists and bands such as Frank Gambale, Stuart Hamm, Steve Smith, Larry Coryell, Tom Coster, Tony Macalpine, Bunny Brunel, Dennis Chambers, Vital Tech Tones and Tribal Tech have released a number of essential records for this genre;
